Since its foundation in 2001, Molior has presented numerous innovative projects in Canada as well as on the international scene in collaboration with multiple dissemination partners.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element  post-formatting\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/\">Hexagram<\/a> is an interdisciplinary network dedicated to research-creation addressing the relationships between arts, cultures and technologies. Self-taught, she holds a university degree in anthropology and has been working in the artistic milieu since 2005. She has received several grants from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Qu\u00e9bec and Premi\u00e8re Ovation. Her work has been presented in Quebec, Canada, France, on online platforms and in digital publications.<\/p>\n<p>\"The work that I will present is in creation and will be diffused in 2022. The link does not lead to the artistic project but to the place of diffusion that will host it, which is an integral part of the project, of its atypical nature. The text-to-speech application was based on the International Pronunciation Alphabet of English Words. The syllables are exaggerated by randomly alternating pitch, length and tone of the pronunciations. Based on research on the gender hierarchy of voices, the artist aims to state that each syllable with different pitches and tones represent the glitched self and multiple selves. Songs were generated by typing some text from the artist and some quotations from the book Glitch Feminism by Legacy Russell. It consists of a corpus of works, including a video piece and a website.\nThe video piece includes recordings of photogrammetries taken during the same period from a web platform (Display land), that depict confined houses, places, and people all over the world.In conjunction with this collection, in the same period, I launched a call to participate via  social media during April 2020, through which I\u2019ve asked other people to send me their 3dscans by using an application that allows them to generate 3D captures of their confined spaces using the camera of a smartphone. With all the contributions received a website is currently under development, with the support of the Canada Council, to form an online environment filled with different 3d spaces that are only available to visit from a specific webpage. We felt we had collectively lost our connection to the underground rave scene in Montreal, and our only way of connecting to it now was through our memory of places, things and feelings. All of this would transport us to a time before social distancing reshaped our reality. By using the video game format, we reconnect to past shared experiences in our community. It is the manifestation of the artist\u2019s compartmentalization of certain aspects of their life and psyche. \nThe electric buzz of CRT monitors swarms our ears we approach the haphazard stack of CRT televisions, wires strewn wildly about. A small CRT screen, set apart from the main stack, displays a series of pictographic instructions on operating the \"video game\". \nUsing a small controller adorned with a classic arcade joystick, the \u201cplayer\u201d takes control of a bizarre avatar as they navigate between the installation\u2019s screens. Each monitor represents an individual room of a gloomy, monochromatic apartment complex, populated by unsettling denizens. The sounds of dripping faucets and murmuring neighbors echo throughout the installation. Thanks to two laboratories, one for scientific research and the other for workshops and activities with the public, the Planktonarium will be a vector of environmental developement and technology, with living cultures of phytoplankton and zooplankton and participative science projects. It will allow visitors to expand their knowledge with specialists, going from the infinitely small to the infinitely large. Microscopes and a large interactive table will provide visitors with a unique multimedia experience. The Planktonarium will welcome school groups for workshops integrating science and artistic creation.
