COMPOSITE is an appointment quarterly networking magazine dedicated to digital creativity. It was born from an initiative of the Conseil des arts de Montréal, and is now coordinated by MAPP_MTL in collaboration with important actors of the Montreal digital sector. The goal of this event is to create a recurring meeting place between the art and industry sectors of the digital sector, by encouraging the meeting and pollination of creators, artist-run centers, organizations, companies and digital professionals.

The COMPOSITE MINUTES introduce the evening: 6 to 10 digital players each have one minute to present a short project, make an important announcement for the digital creation sector, or share a project that has inspired them.

This is followed by 6 keynote presentations, each lasting 5 minutes. These minutes and projects are pre-selected by the COMPOSITE committee through a call for participants. Projects may come from the worlds of art, industry or social innovation, but the common thread is their ability to inspire, stimulate innovation and awaken in the audience a desire for discovery and exploration.

The event concludes with an evening of networking, the purpose of the workshop was to provide a forum for discussion, allowing both presenters and participants to network and develop their respective projects.

An initiative of the Conseil des arts de Montréal

Le Conseil identifies, accompanies, supports and recognizes artistic excellence. Through its grant programs, operational assistance, tours, residencies, its prizes, such as the Grand Prix of the Conseil des arts de Montréal and a collection of mobilizing initiatives, le Conseil today is the dynamic partner of more than 400 Montreal artistic organizations and collectives.

By helping distribute the works of artists in all districts of the island, le Conseil is making the city a lively and creative place in which the public can participate.
